Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Inpatient Heart Failure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing acute, critical, and chronic patient illnesses and diseases within an inpatient hospital setting.
Responsibilities- Evaluate medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and assess patients to determine differential diagnoses.
- Prescribe medication, therapy, and treatments as necessary.
- Interpret and evaluate patient data to determine management and treatment plans.
- Perform minor surgeries and routine procedures as required.
- Consult with physicians as needed.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies in accordance with clinical specialty training and competence.
- A Physician Assistant license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.
- A Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- A Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.
- A Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or a Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- A Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the DEA.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
