We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at a psychiatric hospital in Wisconsin. As an Inpatient Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading treatment teams.

Job Summary

This is a locum tenens opportunity that offers a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients struggling with mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have board certification or eligibility in psychiatry and a valid medical license in the state of Wisconsin or a compact state. Experience working in inpatient settings and knowledge of addiction recovery principles are also highly desirable.

About the Role

This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience for psychiatrists who want to make a positive impact on their patients' lives. As an Inpatient Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribing and managing medications as needed
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families

The schedule for this position includes Monday to Friday shifts, with two nights of call per week and one weekend per month. The volume of patients is expected to be 7-8 per day, and the scope of practice includes inpatient care, adult, and addiction recovery services. EMR systems used include Cerner.

As an Inpatient Psychiatrist with Pacific Companies, Inc., you can expect a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards for similar positions in Wisconsin.
