Structural Engineer Job Description

Our client, Advastar Group, is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting calculations and analyses to support the design of prefabricated structures. This will involve using advanced engineering techniques and software to evaluate the strength and stability of these structures, as well as ensuring that they meet all relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct calculations and analyses to support the design of prefabricated structures
  • Use advanced engineering techniques and software to evaluate the strength and stability of structures
  • Ensure that structures meet all relevant codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with the engineering, sales, estimating, production, and other teams to ensure successful project execution
Requirements:
  • BSE with PE License (not an absolute deal-breaker), would consider EIT looking to work towards PE
  • Open to BSME with solid Structural Experience
  • Experienced with Structural Calculations, Steel and Wood analysis, Component calculations (roofing, sheathing, fasteners, etc.)
  • Previous experience with wood, steel, or hybrid construction preferred (integrated steel chassis)
  • Experience with Building Construction Design, Basic experience with related MEP design elements
  • Software experience; Excel, CAD (for mark-ups), RISA and/or similar Structural Design tools
