Job Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This includes assessing and interpreting disorders of speech, language, and oropharyngeal function, as well as developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Assess and interpret disorders of speech, language, and oropharyngeal function
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Alabama State License
  • Preferred completion of clinical fellowship year or supervised by a speech pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience in the administration of video fluoroscopic evaluations and therapy for patients with dysphagia
Work Environment:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
