Job Summary:
The Geospatial Analyst is responsible for mapping out precise routes from existing infrastructure to client locations, outlining all construction requirements for the proposed paths. This role involves conducting commercial surveys to facilitate new service connections for end users while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct commercial surveys to establish new service connections for clients.
  • Ensure all tasks adhere to customer and industry standards.
  • Provide detailed mapping from existing infrastructure to client demarcation points, noting all necessary construction types along the proposed routes.
  • Gather accurate field data, verify records, and document all relevant details for aerial and underground telecommunications, including fiber optics, coaxial cables, poles, and pedestals.
  • Utilize plat maps to develop a foundational scope of work.
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule field visits.
  • Survey job sites and design routes for cable installation (both overhead and underground).
  • Employ measuring tools and locators for on-site assessments.
  • Conduct research and compile job data using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Complete tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Investigate additional property information, such as easements.
  • Maintain updated spreadsheets for project tracking and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects at various stages of completion.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication skills with peers and supervisors.
  • Proficiency in operating computers and utilizing various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications or construction, with relevant project management expertise.
