We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Imaging Specialist - PET/CT Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. Job SummaryThe Medical Imaging Specialist - PET/CT Technologist will be responsible for operating advanced PET/CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating PET/CT scanners with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate and efficient image acquisition.
- Providing excellent patient care, including preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the process.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to safety regulations to protect patients, colleagues, and equipment.

ResponsibilitiesOur Medical Imaging Specialist - PET/CT Technologist will be responsible for:
- Screens patients before exams, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explains and prepares patients for PET/CT imaging procedures, positioning them correctly for optimal image quality.
- Performs routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures, adjusting scan parameters as needed to ensure high-quality images.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, promoting good safety habits and adhering to ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines and maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical imaging, preferably in a PET/CT environment.
- A valid certification in nuclear medicine technology (CNMT) or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Please note that this is a temporary/per-diem position, working hours between 6:30pm and 5:00am. The estimated salary for this role is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
