Job Summary

The Computed Tomography Technologist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and position patients on the CT table, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection and perform other necessary procedures to obtain high-quality images.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions and provide clear guidance on follow-up care.
  • Turn over and prepare rooms using aseptic technique between patients, maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to minimize exposure and ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) certification or registry-eligible within 1 year of employment start date.
  • ARRT-CT or NMTCB-CT certification or registry-eligible within 6 months of hire.
  • Current license with the Kansas board of healing arts.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • Two years of experience preferred, with additional training in CT scanning.
  • On-call requirements and ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
