Physical Therapist for Evaluation Team-Early Intervention Specialist

Elwyn is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Evaluation Team for Early Intervention. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in assessing and supporting the development of young children with special needs.
Job Summary:The Physical Therapist will conduct standardized assessments and evaluations to determine the eligibility of children for preschool special education services. You will work collaboratively with other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to develop individualized goals and recommendations for early intervention services.
Responsibilities:- Conduct standardized assessments and evaluations to determine child eligibility for preschool special education services
- Collaborate with MDT members to develop individualized goals and recommendations for early intervention services
- Work with parents, teachers, and other team members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to the development of team goals and objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director(s) MDE/IEP
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with certification in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Experience administering preschool standardized assessments preferred
- IEP experience, including demonstrated experience in planning, writing, and implementation of IPs, progress monitoring, and positive behavior supports preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with families, formally and informally, including engaging families in their child's educational program
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmental disabilities and learning styles
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
