Job Summary

Synchrony Health Services is seeking a qualified Staff Pharmacist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmacological information, and monitoring patient drug therapies.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with varied hours, including 1st and 2nd shift rotations. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepares and assists in the preparation of medications, reviewing physician orders, weighing ingredients, and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
  2. Dispenses medication according to policy and legal requirements, ensuring quality, security, and proper disposal
  3. Assesses the identity, strength, or purity of medications
  4. Maintains records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, and inventory control
  5. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) from an accredited institution
  • North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) certification
  • Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE) certification
  • State-specific license where required
  • Five years of experience in a pharmacy environment, preferably in a long-term care setting

Salary Range

$125,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on experience
