We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Derrick Hand to join our team at Steel Partners Holdings LP. As a key member of our well services crew, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our workover rigs, ensuring the efficient and effective completion of oil and gas well operations.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of the Crew Operator to transfer rod sections to and from derrick racks, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Operate rod hoists and communicate with the crew operator to ensure seamless operations.
- Attach transfer devices to rods to disconnect rod clamps and guide tubing sections to the tubing platform.
- Occasionally operate pumps to circulate fluid or mud into the well bore and connect well head attachments.
- Clean, fuel, repair, and maintain workover rig equipment, including greasing, changing oils, and lubricants as needed.
- Available to work beyond traditional 8-hour workdays, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to meet operational needs.
- Dependable and able to report for work at the prescribed location and time, dressed for deployment to work.
- Ability to work at heights up to or greater than 50 feet.
- Participate in daily pre-job tailgate safety meetings and write JHA's.
- Inspect and document all lift equipment on location, including derrick harness, lanyard, SRL's, chains, and cables.
