Rigger Journeyman Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Rigger Journeyman to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a Rigger Journeyman, you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading rigging tackle, as well as assisting in the selection of equipment for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loads, transports, and unloads rigging tackle, ensuring proper weight and size distribution.
  • Attaches pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, using bolts and clamps.
  • Coordinates with Crane Operators to ensure safe movement of loads and equipment.
  • Assists in the assembly and disassembly of cranes, setting up braces and rigs as needed.
  • Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and work areas, restocking supplies as necessary.
  • Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
  • Plans and coordinates the movement of cranes and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Requirements:

  • 48 months of industrial construction experience.
  • Advanced Rigger and Signalperson certifications.
