Diesel Technician: Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our road equipment, including tractors and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, ensuring timely repairs and minimal downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards, extending the lifespan of our vehicles.
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability, maintaining accurate records.
- Respond to road service calls, providing roadside assistance as needed.
- Log repairs and track assigned tasks using our Shop Fax system.
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years of experience with refrigeration certification.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers and colleagues.
- Able to adapt to changing organizational needs, working flexible hours as required.
- $26.00 per hour salary, reflecting your value to our team.
