We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Key Responsibilities- Interview patients to obtain all necessary account information, including demographic and insurance details.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
- Calculate and collect patient liability amounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Obtain necessary signatures from patients or their representatives, including consent for treatment and assignment of benefits.
- Process patient charts according to established productivity standards and paperwork flow needs.
- Assign insurance plans accurately and verify benefits to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.
- 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration or medical records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
