Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to obtain all necessary account information, including demographic and insurance details.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
  • Calculate and collect patient liability amounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Obtain necessary signatures from patients or their representatives, including consent for treatment and assignment of benefits.
  • Process patient charts according to established productivity standards and paperwork flow needs.
  • Assign insurance plans accurately and verify benefits to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.
Requirements
  • 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration or medical records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
