The Sales Support Specialist (SSS) plays a crucial role in assisting educators who currently utilize or are interested in Curriculum Associates solutions. This position involves supporting the local sales team through various prospecting initiatives, including site visits, outreach campaigns, and serving as the initial point of contact for potential customers. The focus of this role is not only on sales but also on ensuring that educators successfully implement CA solutions with fidelity.

Your Impact:

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all service team members.
  • Build proactive relationships with educators in key pilot programs and accounts to guarantee successful implementations, guided by the local sales team.
  • Identify and engage new schools and districts to introduce them to our offerings, understanding their needs to recommend suitable products.
  • Conduct both online and in-person demonstrations of our products.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products, the challenges faced by educators, and current educational trends.
  • Timely monitor, screen, and respond to all internal and external communications.

What We Seek:

  • Proficiency in programs and applications such as Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS365).
  • In-depth knowledge of State Standards for Grades K-8, including content and practice standards, as well as contemporary pedagogical best practices.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach to build trust and reliability.
  • Able to present and engage effectively with groups of 20-35 participants.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, with the ability to quickly grasp and apply new and complex concepts while staying informed about educational trends and policies.
  • Results-driven with a focus on completing assignments and achieving goals.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal direction as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in customer service, sales, or education (or a combination thereof).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a teaching credential or a Master's degree.
  • Previous experience as a classroom teacher, in education sales, customer support, or training.

Travel Requirements: This role may involve 5-10% overnight travel, with daily driving to support the designated territory.

Physical Demands: The ability to lift boxes weighing approximately 30 lbs is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: This role offers a competitive hourly rate. The compensation for this position is influenced by various factors, including prior experience and relevant skills.

Benefits: Temporary and per-diem employees averaging at least 30 hours per week may be eligible for medical coverage after a specified period. Employees working more than 20 hours per week are entitled to paid holidays and accrued sick time.
