Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).
Perform select clinical duties, including assisting with treatments ordered by the provider, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts.
Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment and perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking of supplies.

Requirements

BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
Medical Assistant certification obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
