About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dual Credit Program Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students pursuing dual credit opportunities by fostering strong relationships with schools, faculty, staff, and parents. Your expertise in counseling and career development will guide students toward academic success and help them explore their postsecondary options.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive guidance to students on career planning, college readiness, and dual credit program enrollment.
- Collaborate with school personnel, faculty, and administrators to ensure a seamless transition for students participating in dual credit programs.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address student needs, concerns, and academic goals.
- Develop and implement engaging workshops and presentations on topics related to dual credit, college applications, and career exploration.
- Track student progress, grades, and attendance, providing timely interventions and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student interactions and program activities.
- Stay informed about current trends in higher education and dual credit programs to ensure the delivery of relevant and effective services.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or a related field.
- Valid Texas Counseling Certificate.
- Minimum three years of experience in K-12 teaching or counseling services.
- Strong understanding of dual credit program requirements and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
