We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an OR Circulator at Hopedale Medical Complex. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Monitor and record patient vitals pre-operation, providing critical information to the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring the highest standards of infection control.
- Document every aspect of the operation, including surgical tools, anesthetic usage, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Assist surgeons during procedures as needed, providing support and expertise.
- Escort patients to the recovery room post-operation, ensuring a seamless transition.
- Clean and maintain the operating room, adhering to strict standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Account for all surgical tools and equipment, ensuring accurate inventory and minimizing waste.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and ancillary personnel.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development, with a focus on staying current with the latest advancements in perioperative nursing.
