This role is crucial for the setup and operation of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines. The operator will guarantee that circuit boards are assembled according to precise specifications outlined in the work instructions. Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams is essential to ensure our products uphold high-quality standards and are delivered punctually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate SMT machines in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Conduct machine setup and maintenance following documented protocols.
  • Prepare feeders for SMT pick and place machines.
  • Run SMT placement machines effectively.
  • Manually place SMT components on stenciled boards.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Set up and operate manual and MPM stencil printers.
  • Communicate machine operation status to management as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience operating MyData and SMT Juki pick and place machines.
  • Ability to interpret written English work instructions.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to lift containers and packages weighing a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Must be a US person.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AOI and X-ray machines.
  • Experience in SMT machine operation within an electronics manufacturing environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for assembling products or machines as instructed.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Ability to distinguish between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
