Position Overview

The Senior Internal Auditor plays a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing the integrity of internal control systems and processes. This position adheres to the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and aligns with corporate policies. The auditor assesses the reliability and adequacy of the internal control framework, documenting audit findings with substantial evidence. This role also involves investigating discrepancies and advising management on corrective actions. Audit reports are prepared and communicated effectively to the Internal Audit team and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to foster environments that safeguard and enhance organizational value.
  • Plan and execute audit assignments as either a leader or team member, covering financial, operational, or compliance projects.
  • Identify business risks to assess and enhance business processes and internal controls, while also seeking opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Prepare audit planning documents, comprehensive audit programs, and work plans that evaluate management's success in achieving business and strategic objectives.
  • Organize meetings and collect relevant information through interviews and analytical review of documents; analyze data using appropriate auditing techniques.
  • Draft findings and recommendations for identified issues, discussing and validating them with business owners and Internal Audit management.
  • Create audit presentations and produce clear, concise reports of findings.
  • Monitor the resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
  • Lead or participate in special projects, investigations, and administrative tasks as required.
  • Engage effectively with various levels of management and staff across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of audit or related experience.
  • Current professional certification (CPA/CIA/CISA) is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP and data analytics tools such as ACL/Alteryx/Tableau/Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Big 4 audit firms is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel less than 20% of the time.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
