Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in our outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities- Provide patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines and standards of care.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement patient plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Use the nursing process to provide ongoing care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient status and need for care.
- Provide triage and consultation to patients, families, and/or significant others according to protocol and organization guidelines.
- Communicate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Document and communicate accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information.
- Perform laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines.
- Assist physicians/providers with procedures and surgeries.
- Administer medications under physician/provider orders.
- Initiate, maintain, and discontinue IV therapy.
- Assess and provide basic to complex patient education and counseling.
- Follow through with necessary procedure or test requests, prescription refills, new appointment times, and referrals to other facilities or services.
- Refer questions to physicians/providers and relay information back to patients as directed.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
