Job Summary:

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Support Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Support Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure it is in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain GSE to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.
  • Prepare GSE for storage and transportation, and use automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records and document maintenance actions.
  • Maintain external fuel and grounding systems, and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE.
  • Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
  • Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air.
  • Disassemble and assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories and components, and remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories.
  • Stencil and mark GSE in accordance with technical publications, and store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
  • Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles, maintain vehicle records, and maintain and update paper and electronic equipment records.
  • Provide dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
  • Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD prevention, and safety at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a field relevant to the position description.
  • Completed corrosion control training.
  • Knowledgeable of supply procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance Required. US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Top Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
  • Cutting and welding experience preferred.
