We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Department Manager to join our team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily work activities of nursing staff, ensuring quality, productivity, and functional excellence.
- Develop and implement performance initiatives to improve patient safety, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in committees and represent the nursing department in a positive manner.
- Assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Implement training, monitoring, and operations initiatives to secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and accreditation/regulatory/government regulations.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing.
- Three years' experience in nursing, one year in a progressive leadership role in healthcare.
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
- Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification within 1 year.
