Job Summary

The Fullington Auto Bus Company is seeking a skilled Mechanic Helper to join our team. As a Mechanic Helper, you will be responsible for assisting our lead Mechanic in performing mechanical duties on school buses, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead Mechanic in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct inspections of school buses to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on school buses, including replacing parts and components.
  • Assist in the installation and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Operate a school bus on a daily route, transporting students to and from school.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a mechanical or automotive repair role preferred.
  • CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Trade school or college certifications in a related field a plus.
