Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality Allied Clinical Therapy programs for individuals and groups, including group counseling, creative arts therapy, and psycho-educational activities.
  • Assess patient functioning levels and needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate as a member of the treatment team, providing clinical expertise and contributing to the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records, as per departmental policy.
  • Develop and present patient treatment plans at patient care meetings.
  • Provide weekend and evening programs as scheduled, and maintain departmental records.
  • Perform assigned professional/clinical functions under the supervision of the Allied Clinical Therapies Coordinator and/or Director of Allied Clinical Therapies.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups according to established therapeutic modalities.
  • Plan and develop new techniques and programs, and consult with clinicians to meet patient goals and needs.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment while maintaining cost consciousness, and maintain Allied Clinical Therapies' equipment, area, and supplies.
  • Participate in unit compliance and contribute to departmental projects and committees.
Requirements
  • Certification in Allied Clinical Therapy (C-ATR, C-CBMT, C-CTRS, C-DMT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Music Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Art Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Drama Therapy, Counseling, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work is required.
  • Clinical internship experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.
