Swim Instructor/Lifeguard Pool

Harlingen CISD is seeking a highly skilled and certified Swim Instructor/Lifeguard to join our team at the Aquatic Center.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safety and well-being of swimmers at the Aquatic Center. This includes supervising the pool area, preventing and responding to emergencies, and providing care for injuries and illnesses until medical personnel arrive.

• Supervise the safety and rescue of swimmers at the Aquatic Center
• Prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies
• Provide care for injuries and illnesses until medical personnel arrive
• Hold a current certification in First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard rating
• Have 1 year of related experience as a swim instructor and/or lifeguard

• Education/Certification: Must hold a current certification in First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard rating
• Experience: 1 year of related experience as a swim instructor and/or lifeguard

The Swim Instructor/Lifeguard will work in a fast-paced aquatic environment, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with children and able to respond to emergency situations with confidence and composure.
