Aquatic Center Lifeguard

The Harlingen CISD Aquatic Center is seeking a highly skilled and certified Swim Instructor/Lifeguard to join our team. As a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for supervising the safety and rescue of swimmers at the aquatic center, preventing, recognizing, and responding to emergencies, and providing care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive.

• Supervise the safety and rescue of swimmers at the aquatic center
• Prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies
• Provide care for injuries and sudden illnesses
• Work with children during the swim lesson process
• Knowledge of the daily routine of an aquatic center

• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard rating from an approved certification program
• 1 year related experience as a swim instructor and/or lifeguard

This is a part-time position working at the Harlingen CISD Aquatic Center. The successful candidate will be required to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
