Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Norfolk Iron and Metal. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet of tractors and other heavy equipment.

Your duties will include communicating with drivers to determine repairs and work to be done, fueling tractors, completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance inspections, diagnosing mechanical problems, and performing necessary mechanical and electrical repairs using tools and necessary equipment.

In addition, you will drive vehicles on company property and on public roads as required and maintain a clean and orderly shop and all equipment.

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of tractors and other heavy equipment. This will include communicating with drivers to determine repairs and work to be done, fueling tractors, completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance inspections, diagnosing mechanical problems, and performing necessary mechanical and electrical repairs using tools and necessary equipment.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly shop and all equipment and participating in on-call rotation using company cell phones.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include medical, dental & vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
