Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at EngageMED, Inc.

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per yearJob Description

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for radiologic procedures, protecting them and others from radiation hazards, and taking X-rays following established procedures. You will also position patients and take X-rays of specific body parts as requested by physicians, process film, and check X-rays for clarity.

You will maintain required records, perform quality control checks on X-ray units, and ensure safety standards are met. Additionally, you will clean and maintain radiographic equipment, order supplies, and educate patients about procedures.

Requirements
  1. X-Ray Procedures: Knowledge of X-ray protocols and techniques, including patient positioning and radiation safety.
  2. Anatomy and Physiology: Understanding of human anatomy and physiology necessary for performing X-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement.
  3. Radiology Equipment: Familiarity with radiology equipment, including safety hazards common to the field.
Education and Experience:
  • Associates degree in radiological technology from an accredited program.
  • One to three years of experience as an X-ray technician, preferably in a medical practice environment.
Other Requirements:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration is preferred.
