We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Specialist to join our team at Steritech. As a Food Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to measure conformity to established regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards for clients.
- Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
- Teach and coach clients on how to maintain a safe and healthy environment for themselves and their customers.
- Travel up to 50% of the time, including some evening and weekend work.
- Meet the requirements to obtain CP-FS certification within 1 year of hire.
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed (including 2 weekend days/month).
- Desire to travel via car and/or plane up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to lift 32 lbs chest high, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability and desire to influence others with tact and skill as well as provide clear and constructive feedback in a positive manner.
- Thrives in an autonomous working environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of food safety is preferred.
- ServSafe and/or CP-FS Certification(s) a plus.
- Must pass pre-employment background screen.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record search.
