Position Summary:
The Rehabilitation Support Specialist collaborates closely with therapists while also executing specific patient-related tasks independently to facilitate the rehabilitation process for patients during their hospital stay.
This role includes the responsibility of cleaning and maintaining departmental supplies and equipment according to the established maintenance schedule.Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in a similar role such as Patient Care Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or currently enrolled in a healthcare-related educational program.
Basic computer proficiency is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team. Candidates must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Flexibility and adaptability to engage with a diverse patient population.
Able to encourage patients to actively participate in their care plans.
Strong ability to follow instructions and demonstrate organizational skills.
Experience with electronic health records and safe patient handling techniques is advantageous.
