Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing manual labor with accuracy and efficiency in the Formulated Department, adhering to the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanitizing equipment, production tools, and the facility environment in both the Apple and Formulated Plants to ensure best food production safety practices.
  • Assisting the Production Operator with verifying quantities and lot numbers of various raw ingredients, including handling, processing, and packaging of formulated ingredients.
  • Completing daily documentation of ingredient batches with a comprehensive understanding of the data and its impact on the operation.
  • Operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
  • Wearing and maintaining proper personal protection equipment while performing sanitation duties.
  • Operating food processing equipment, including mixers, sieves, and steam kettles.

Requirements:

  • One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Working Conditions:

The worker may be exposed to hazards in the workplace, such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current.

The worker must be able to work in an environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.) and use normal office equipment (scanner, printer, copier, computer).
