Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering direct patient care within an outpatient clinical environment. This position involves assessing patient needs, providing educational support, and assisting healthcare professionals in the execution of a comprehensive healthcare delivery system.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance policies while performing all duties and responsibilities;
- Evaluate patient needs, support physician staff in direct care delivery, and initiate treatment under physician supervision, ensuring accurate medical chart documentation;
- Assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations, including testing, quality control, and nursing protocols;
- Deliver direct patient services through various clinical procedures within the approved scope of nursing licensure;
- Prepare patients for minor in-office surgical procedures, monitor them during surgery and recovery, and keep physicians updated on patient status;
- Assist or perform therapeutic procedures under supervision, including medication administration, dressing applications, and suture removals;
- Provide healthcare information to patients regarding treatment options, preventive measures, and chronic care management;
- Support physical examinations and other procedures, and may conduct designated laboratory tasks;
- Administer first-aid or emergency care as necessary and may coordinate patient healthcare needs with the Case Manager;
- Complete proficiency assessments on all required nursing procedures and skills;
- Demonstrate proficiency in the Electronic Medical Records system;
- Execute nurse navigator functions within the designated focus area or assigned pod when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
This role requires the RN to have graduated from an accredited nursing institution with an Associate Degree or diploma. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a clinical setting is required. This position necessitates a proven work history with comprehensive nursing responsibilities and demonstrated competency in nursing protocols and procedures. RNs must possess a valid Wyoming registration as a Registered Nurse and maintain current BLS certification.
