Art Historian

Sarah Lawrence College seeks a tenure-track faculty member to teach History of Early Modern European Art in a Global Perspective. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Art or Architectural History and a strong research focus on global art and architecture. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory surveys and focused seminars, as well as contribute to the development of the Art History curriculum.

• Teach courses in History of Early Modern European Art in a Global Perspective
• Develop and teach introductory surveys and focused seminars
• Contribute to the development of the Art History curriculum
• Mentor and advise students

• Ph.D. in Art or Architectural History
• Strong research focus on global art and architecture
• Teaching experience in Art History

• Experience teaching in a liberal arts college setting
• Strong commitment to mentoring and advising students
• Ability to contribute to the development of the Art History curriculum
