We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our outpatient/physician practice team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Key Responsibilities- Administer patient care under the direction of a physician, identifying and pursuing expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs, consulting with appropriate resources in a timely fashion regarding patients with complex care issues or unusual teaching needs.
- Collaborate with peers in a clinical operations environment, including fostering intra/interdepartmental communication.
- Communicate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care using cultural competency and active listening, developing relationships with patients and their families that promote their ability to advocate for patient and family needs.
- Promote a safe, clean, and secure environment for all, including the application of standard precautions and principles of infection control.
- Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This is a per diem position with standard hours of 8.00 per day. The work assignment is onsite, and the job is a day job. The location is PARDEEHOSP.
