We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Penn State University.
Responsibilities- Lead an interdisciplinary research team to identify new materials and determine their properties.
- Design, prepare, and characterize new memory materials.
- Coordinate the collective research efforts of graduate students in 4 partnering universities.
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or related discipline by the time of hire.
- Experience in x-ray diffraction, microstructure characterization, structure-property relationship analysis, dielectric testing, and scientific writing.
- Strong background in material synthesis, defect chemistry, and structural and electrical characterization of electroceramics.

This is a postdoctoral position, funded for one year with an excellent possibility of renewal pending available funding and satisfactory performance.
