Job Title: 2nd Shift Line Packer (Packaging)

Carl Buddig & Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as a 2nd Shift Line Packer (Packaging). As a key member of our packaging team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products as they move through the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • De-clip summer sausage from meat racks and transfer to loading table
  • Insert summer sausage into de-clipper machine and remove center clips and string
  • Place completed product into inspection table and transfer to V-Mag when ready
  • Load product into pockets on the line, checking for clips and verifying correct size
  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy, including checking for wrinkles, open seals, and meat in the seal
  • Pack products into designated boxes, arranging according to product codes and specifications
  • Feed boxes down the line to be automatically taped and labeled
  • Remove boxes from the line and onto the pallet
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less and lift up to 35 pounds for 30 minutes at a time
  • Flexibility to work as needed and willingness to work within the two businesses (OW and CBC)
  • Ability to work in a high-speed packaging environment and stand for up to hours per day
  • Good hand/eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
  • Ability to work 40 or more hours per week and work mandatory overtime if necessary, including weekends
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
