Electrical Engineer - Harness Design

At REGENT, we're revolutionizing coastal transportation with our zero-emission, high-speed seagliders. As an Electrical Engineer - Harness Design, you'll play a crucial role in designing, documenting, and testing cables and harnesses for our seaglider vehicle.

You'll work closely with our Electrical/Avionics, Propulsion, and Structural/Mechanical design teams to complete integrated solutions. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, signal processing, and transmission line theory, will be essential in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our harnesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and document harnesses for the seaglider vehicle
  • Test and validate harnesses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement harness design and testing processes
  • Work with external vendors to source and procure harness components
Requirements:
  • BS/MS in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace, Maritime, or Automotive fields
  • Extensive experience producing schematics and wiring harness drawings
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, signal processing, and transmission line theory
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Siemens Capital (Vesys)
  • Experience with high-power electric propulsion systems and power electronics
  • Familiarity with RF communication systems
