Job Title: Front Load Driver

Job Summary:
EcoSouth - Hattiesburg is seeking a dedicated Front Load Driver to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order, reporting any safety issues on standard reports.
  • Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and to disposal sites, reading route sheets and following maps to service customers as identified.
  • Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactors, and dispose of collected material at designated facilities.
  • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service.
  • Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to departmental procedures.
  • Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
  • Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards and policies.
  • Monitor the vehicle's condition to ensure it is operationally ready at all times, minimizing downtime.
  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to productivity standards to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License.
  • Two years of prior experience operating a commercial vehicle (preferred).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and clean MVR.
