  • Supervise Mental Health Professionals: Provide guidance and support to mental health nurse practitioners, psychologists, and social workers to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop Program Content and Activities: Create engaging programs and activities to promote social development and support group goals.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with primary care providers, RNs, and medical assistants to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients on treatment plans, provide counseling and therapy, and offer support to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Compliance: Ensure the confidentiality of patient data and maintain compliance with VA and company training requirements.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine: Must hold a valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment.
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry: Must be board certified in psychiatry and maintain current certification.
  • Minimum of 1-3 Years' Clinical Experience: Must have a minimum of 1-3 years' clinical experience in adult patient care.
  • Current DEA Registration: Must hold current, unrestricted DEA registration.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS: Must be certified in Basic Life Support and ACLS, as specified by individual VAMC contract.
  • Proficiency in Written and Spoken English: Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
