Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers as they shop in the retail store, assisting with customer service questions and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Merchandise Management: Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
  • Inventory Management: Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management, maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
  • Receiving and Processing: Assist in receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of merchandise.
  • Cash Handling: Handle customer transactions utilizing the KCX cash register system, maintaining accurate cash handling and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Returns: Responsible for handling customer returns, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth return process.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by store management, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills required, with the ability to provide a positive and professional shopping experience.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting.
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred, with prior retail experience an asset.
Working Environment and Conditions
  • Retail Store Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail store environment, with exposure to cold and warm conditions.
  • Irregular Work Schedule: Work an irregular schedule, including days, evenings, and rotating weekend/holiday shifts.
Equipment and Tools
  • Computer and Software: Utilize computer software and network systems, including the KCX cash register system.
  • Calculator and Cash Register: Use a calculator and cash register-scanner to process customer transactions.
  • Telephone and Fax: Use a telephone and fax machine to communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Copy Machine: Use a copy machine to make copies of documents as needed.
