Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Join Cummings Aerospace Inc as a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on a cutting-edge missile flight research concept. As a key member of our team, you will design and integrate printed circuit boards, collaborating closely with a small multi-disciplined team and customer technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for circuit boards, including concept definition, modification of existing designs, and implementation of development hardware in a hardware-in-the-loop laboratory.
  • Complete PCB design tasks, including schematic capture, BOM generation, PCB placement/routing, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, bring-up, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Electrical design for other missile components, including the electrical power system, telemetry unit interface, offboard interface, and harnessing electrical definition.
  • Work closely with the software and electrical engineering team to perform peer review and testing roles.
  • Lead and/or support component, system, and subsystem testing.
  • Support the development and implementation of engineering procedures as required.
  • Document and present analysis results to technical leads, management, and/or customers.
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the day-to-day performance of duties.
  • Support program meetings and technical reviews with internal and external customers.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience with electrical system design and development for DoD programs required.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and working with database libraries required.
  • Experience with LTspice, AutoCAD, CAM350, or other electrical design tools desired.
  • Experience with flight computer design, integration, and testing desired.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical control actuation systems desired.
  • Experience with FPGA-based SoCs incorporating multiple microcontroller cores desired.
  • Experience with electrical communication bus standards (RS-422/485, RS-232, etc.) desired.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic customer-site team environment, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and design implementations.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to organize work and deliver on-time work products.
