Key Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and assigning work orders to the appropriate team members for the execution of equipment modifications, as well as preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
Resource Coordination:
You will prepare and coordinate maintenance resources while providing insights for capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Review:
Regularly review equipment operations with relevant personnel to identify maintenance challenges in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Customer Satisfaction.
Performance Analysis:
Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to recommend enhancements for plant operations, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and resolution of maintenance issues.
KPI Management:
Track, analyze, and improve the KPIs of the Maintenance department.
Routine Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify issues, thereby enhancing the reliability of production equipment.
Supplier Relations:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of maintenance materials and services.
Employee Engagement:
Engage employees in problem-solving to enhance production efficiency, utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques as necessary.
Team Leadership:
Foster a positive work environment and drive the Maintenance team to achieve set productivity targets and performance standards.
Fabrication Skills:
Possess the ability to fabricate and modify equipment as required.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure consistent compliance with various governmental regulations at the city, county, and state levels.
Expense Monitoring:
Monitor and review monthly Maintenance expenses.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and service schedules.
Recruitment Assistance:
Assist in the recruitment process for Maintenance personnel.
Training Development:
Ensure Maintenance employees receive comprehensive training in all aspects of their roles, identifying training gaps and developing appropriate training plans.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Industrial Automation, PLCs, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic systems, preferably within the Packaging Industry.
- Management experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, and/or process improvement roles, including team management.
- Previous experience in a Lean environment is preferred.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and proven team-building capabilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Upkeep Maintenance Software is preferred.
