FOH Supervisor

The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club seeking a highly skilled FOH Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests.

• Pre-Service Preparation: Ensure the restaurant is properly prepared and set for dining prior to the start of each shift.
• Membership Contact: Maintain a high level of membership contact throughout service hours.
• Menu Knowledge: Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, menu deviations, and aware if the kitchen staff is running out of any items.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure basic cleaning tasks are completed by staff before, during, and after service.
• Concern Resolution: Promptly address concerns of members, employees, and guests and refer to Clubhouse Manager as necessary.
• Compliance: Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures and ensures the same compliance by staff.
• Team Leadership: Assist Clubhouse Manager to build a strong, effective team through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling, and leadership.
• Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
• Operations Management: Manage operations in absence of the Clubhouse Manager.
• Hygiene and Uniforms: Ensure proper hygiene by monitoring staff for clean and appropriate uniforms, personal grooming, and food handling.
• Fill-in Support: Fill in for absent staff as needed.
• Special Events: Assist with special events as needed.
• Training and Certification: Completes alcohol awareness and food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire.

• Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Service Standards: Ability to adhere to club standards of service.
• Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills.
• Culinary Knowledge: Knowledgeable of food, wine, and spirits.
• Technical Skills: Understanding of POS systems, payroll systems, and back-office computer systems.
• Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Customer Service: Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.

• Standing and Walking: Standing and/or walking 90% of workday.
• Lifting and Carrying: Lifting, carrying and/or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 25% of workday.
• Pushing and Pulling: Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of workday.
• Computer Work: Working on a computer 25% of workday.
