Job Summary

The Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the technical, operational, and administrative aspects of pharmacy operations at Kennebec Pharmacy HomeCare. This position requires a strong leader who can provide a clear vision for the company's mission and commitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with state regulations, conducting annual reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Recruit and retain qualified home infusion staff, ensuring the continued competency of all team members.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources and adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Provide leadership in measuring and improving performance, maintaining an active liaison with state and national associations to stay informed on industry issues.
  • Develop and review the effectiveness of a strategic marketing plan, directing promotion efforts to develop new markets and increase market share.
  • Analysis department budget requests, identifying areas for reduction and allocating the infusion pharmacies operating budget for approval.
  • Review activity, operating, and sales reports with the VP of Pharmacy Services to determine required changes in programs or operations.
  • Ensure the quality of services provided and staffing of the program is appropriate, overseeing employee participation in the Improvement Organization Performance (IOP) program.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Degree, two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Pharmacy License in the State of Maine.
  • Proven leadership ability, personnel management, and teambuilding skills, including the ability to motivate employees.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
