Job Overview

Position: Sprinkler Construction Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide all necessary documentation to facilitate job completion, including scope sheets, budgets, material lists, and designs.
  • Oversee and manage the inventory system effectively.
  • Optimize material purchasing processes, ensuring adherence to purchase order standard operating procedures.
  • Maximize production efficiency by effectively scheduling labor and resources while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of budget versus actual job costing and participate in departmental improvement discussions.
  • Submit work tickets promptly and professionally, including all required documentation.
  • Engage in weekly team meetings to review job statuses and resource needs.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of fire protection and life safety systems, including relevant regulatory standards and codes.
  • Ability to interpret fire protection installation requirements accurately.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding fire protection blueprints.
  • Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred completion of the American Fire Sprinkler Association training program for fire sprinkler foremen.
  • RME-I license is required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience as a fire sprinkler foreman.
  • At least 10 years of field experience in fire sprinkler installation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to follow directions from upper management.
  • Proficient in completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork.
  • Responsible for maintaining company vehicles and tools according to policy.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledgeable in NFPA 13 regulations and applicable codes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adherence to all company safety practices and guidelines.
