Sleep Disorder Specialist

MaineHealth, a leading health system in the state, is seeking a skilled Sleep Technologist to join its dynamic care team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with certified sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and fellow polysomnographers to diagnose and treat sleep and waking disorders in infants, children, and adults.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical laboratory work of sleep disorder testing with direct and extensive patient contact.
- Conduct sleep studies and analyze results to inform diagnostic and treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest sleep medicine research and technologies to provide high-quality care.
- High school education supplemented by coursework in physical and biological sciences.
- Current BLS certification.
- Credentialed as a RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologies, or equivalent experience.
- One year of experience in the sleep medicine field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
