Incident Response Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Incident Response Technician to join our team at Webber. As a key member of our highway maintenance operations, you will be responsible for responding to incidents on provincial highways, including traffic accidents, spills, and emergency situations that affect the safety of the traveling public.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a primary liaison between police, fire, and emergency responders during incident management
- Communicate with the Traffic Monitoring Center and FDOT via 2-way radio and telephone to provide information and updates on incidents
- Complete incident reports and coordinate detour routes in the event of a road closure
- Conduct follow-through investigations on all fatalities to determine if facilities contributed to the accident
- Track and maintain files on all major incidents and accidents involving assets, personnel, and equipment within contract limitations
- Assist with the administration of third-party claims by gathering documentation, paperwork, and other relevant information
- Coordinate special events involving traffic control, detours, and/or closures
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 2+ years' work experience in highway maintenance operations, traffic control, and incidents/accidents management (preferred)
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record to drive company vehicle
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and frequent exposure to insects and infrequent exposure to reptiles/rodents.
