Speech Language Pathologist PRN

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments.
Job SummaryThe Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for developing and conducting individualized therapy programs, performing comprehensive patient assessments, and establishing appropriate treatment goals. You will also serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues, providing expert guidance and support.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patient's condition, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine nature and degree of speech and language problem.
- Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans, in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures, scope of practice, and standards of practice.
- Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention.
- Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Florida, and have experience in an appropriate healthcare setting. Additionally, you must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the Speech Language Hearing Association and possess critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
