Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Career Coach who is passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding participants through various processes, including assessments, internships, job searches, interviews, resume writing, and career advancement. This role is vital in identifying employment opportunities and providing ongoing support within our Career Bridges program to ensure successful employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess participants' strengths, interests, and abilities through interviews and evaluations.
  • Conduct job searches and outreach to discover employment opportunities for participants.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers to create job openings and facilitate placements.
  • Assist participants in preparing for interviews, completing job applications, and enhancing job-related skills.
  • Collaborate with the Employment Transition Manager to execute employment transition plans for participants.
  • Provide continuous support to participants at their volunteer placements and internships, including job coaching and advocacy as necessary.
  • Utilize appropriate materials and curriculum modifications to meet participants' needs in areas such as communication, technology, problem-solving, teamwork, professionalism, self-advocacy, and job search techniques.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Clean driving record with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Associate Degree is preferred.
  • Background in counseling, career coaching, and resume writing is a plus.
  • Basic and advanced computer skills are required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of participants and job demands.
  • Experience with DDA, LTSS, and ICM is a plus.
