Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Nursing Assistant I, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide routine direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and skin preps/scrubs.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide indirect care to patients and assigned areas, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and transporting patients/supplies/specimens.
  • Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by registered nurses or physicians and document patient understanding of instructions.
Requirements
  • Fluent in verbal and written English language.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
